Job Overview:

You’ll be helping to guide a team, including cross-functional partners, to build out a unified design system that brings all customer products together under a common design language.

• Guide our team in establishing scalable frameworks and guidelines such as our Product Illustration style guide, UX writing guidelines, and documentation of our Design System and standards
• Set vision and strategy for uniting all of our products under a common set of design practices, design system, and visual language
• Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Research to drive cross-functional alignment, define strategy, and develop the design system roadmap and priorities
• Advocate the design system within our company by communicating strategy, plans, and updates across the organization

• 4-7 years’ demonstrable experience in digital and web
• Marketing, advertising, design or brand-building experience
• Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to partner with cross-functional partners, to drive towards successful outcomes
• Excellent understanding of best practices and processes around governance and maintenance of large scale design systems
• Proven technical understanding of how to build and architect scalable design systems within a product-driven company
• Sound attention to detail and craft
• Strong understanding of UX and UI design best practices
• Ability to think beyond the small picture into big picture branding
• Strong multitasking abilities and team leading skills
• A willingness and desire to re-examine what you know in order to continually challenge your creativity
• Desire and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment on multiple projects in various phases and under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of design trends for mobile, iPad, video and other new media 
• BA/BS in Graphic Design, Information Design, or other visual arts
• A current portfolio with up-to-date projects that demonstrates the application of current design trends and concepts required for all applying to position.
• Bachelor degree in Fine Arts, preferred
