Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an Oracle Cloud HCM Lead Business Consultant with focus in Oracle HCM Compensation Cloud in our Oracle National Business Unit.    


Job Overview:

A Solutions Architect is expected to be knowledgeable in at least one or more applications within the following Oracle Cloud HCM applications: Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting & Onboarding, Performance & Goals.  This particular role will focus in on the Compensation module and any additional expertise in Talent, Core HR, Technical or other modules will be welcomed into this very cross-functional team.


You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading-edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.




  • Provide Oracle HCM Cloud functional/technical consulting services specifically focused within Compensation work stream by acting as subject matter expert and leading clients through the implementation lifecycle.  This includes but is not limited to:


    • Be the consultative authority on all things Compensation-related to guide our clients through an Oracle HCM Cloud implementation as the Compensation lead and encourage the following:
      • Provide expert level knowledge on all areas within Compensation Cloud, such as Workforce Compensation and Base Pay, along with all those Compensation-specific nuances with security, approval hierarchy, compensation change statements, dynamic columns, fast formulas and so many more!
      • Able to provide guidance in additional areas of the Compensation product suite, such as Grade Step Progression, Individual Compensation, Total Compensation Statements, Market Pay, Compensation Zones/Differentials or ability to quickly get up to speed in new release functionality and help educate your client on the latest and greatest with each quarterly release
      • Understanding of and sensitivity for an HR client's "world" when it comes to Compensation - merit cycles, bonus cycles, salary ranges, market pay, annual total compensation communications and the high level of visibility and executive involvement in any organization's compensation programs as they undergo a Cloud implementation


    • From an Oracle HCM Cloud Practice and implementation perspective, you'll be one of the leaders on your projects, with direct impact on outcomes, client relationship, methodology and bringing not only your vast HCM Cloud knowledge but also your collaborative team attitude to help grow our Cloud culture! This will include:
      • Savvy ability to identify business requirements and align them to the Oracle HCM Cloud functionality and guide clients to a Best Practice approach using standard functionality wherever possible
      • When gaps are identified, either functionally or technically, be ready to have in-depth conversations with your client, taking an overall Business Process approach (organizational practice along with system transactions) to create a solution or engage in conversations around change management
      • Confidently conduct globally-minded Design Workshops for Oracle HCM Cloud projects, educating the client on the product in order to gather full vetted requirements
      • Be comfortable leading deep discussions to educate and at times negotiate towards decisions when needed
      • Configure the Oracle HCM Compensation Cloud Application to meet client requirements and document application set-ups
      • Engage easily with our offshore team and collaborate on functional solutions, configurations, technical artifacts or troubleshooting
      • Build business requirement documents for reports, interfaces, data conversions and application extensions for Oracle HCM Cloud projects
      • Help contribute to the development of Security, Reporting and Validation Strategies for your work stream(s) and in collaboration with the project team overall
      • Guide and support clients in preparing validation scripts, testing scenarios and test scripts for their specific requirements
      • Lead or support migration of configuration, integrations and extensions to additional pods or to Production when needed
      • Support all project cadence meetings, status updates and generally keeping the project team around you aware and involved in your work stream as needed
      • Participate in sales pursuits, health checks, methodology review and other Practice level items as needed


    • Above all, be a highly collaborative and cross-functionally aware team member on client projects as well as a contributing member of this growing Oracle HCM Cloud Practice. We're building a culture of knowledge sharing and delivery excellence - and we hope to have fun while doing it all!


  • Minimum of five years' experience in a Functional HCM Lead role with exposure to global, cross-pillar Cloud projects
  • Minimum of at least three Oracle HCM Cloud Compensation implementation project participation and go-lives, preferably cross-pillar and global with a full range of types of Compensation plans and complexity
  • Additional Oracle HCM Cloud Fusion experience in any additional modules preferred:
  • Global Human Resources, Benefits, Global Payroll, Time & Labor, Absence Management, Recruiting, Talent Management
  • Experience in working with Oracle Support, Oracle Product team, Release Readiness and being resourceful in troubleshooting/researching product capabilities through use of all available sources
  • Experience in additional HCM applications (EBS, PeopleSoft, SAP, Workday, others)
  • Understanding of all typical project phases and roles: Project Preview, Fit/Gap Analysis, Configuration, Testing, Production Support, Project Management, Change Management
