Job Overview:

A Solutions Architect is expected to be knowledgeable in two or more technologies within (a given Solutions/Practice area). The Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert infrastructure architecture, client presales / presentation, team management and thought leadership skills.

 

You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.

 

You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.

 

This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor delivery team members.

 

 

Responsibilities

As a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Solutions Architect, you will be part of a team that is focused on the delivery and implementation of Microsoft D365 CRM for clients.

In this role, you’ll spend most of your time consulting directly with our clients and developing business solutions. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with the latest Microsoft technologies and solutions in enterprise-level environments. You will design and implement high-quality CRM applications and platform solutions that include such activities as:

  • Understand the customer’s vision and create solutions that will solve their business challenges
  • Lead client meetings to learn about existing architecture, identify business issues, and gather/verify business requirements
  • Work with customers to analyze business requirements, define functional specifications, and consult with clients on strategic and operational uses of the CRM platform
  • Establish technical designs that align configuration and customization needs with client requirements, while adhering to best practices
  • Design integration solutions for backend services and back office/ERP applications
  • Identify creative solutions to meet system/business requirements with and without the development of custom code
  • Serve as a Dynamics expert who educates customers about relevant capabilities and provides guidance about new ways to leverage the platform
  • Create and lead Dynamics platform demonstrations that align with customer needs and use cases (during the pre-sales phase and during active projects)
  • Play an active role in managing the execution of projects, including participating in Agile backlog grooming and sprint planning activities
  • Assist the team in training client personnel on the usage and administration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Build strong client relationships by building strong professional and personal bonds as we work together
  • Play an active role in new business pursuits, which typically involves defining and prioritizing customer needs, creating technical and data solutions, designing a staffing solution and level of effort projection, and shaping a statement of work and detailed cost estimate.
  • Serve as a mentor to team members, help the team resolve problems as they arise, and inspire your colleagues by sharing emerging new technology insights and best practices

The ideal candidate will have PowerApp/CDS/D365 CRM/CE architecture, design, implementation and deployment experience in delivering enterprise level solutions. You’ll be able to develop software based on the description of business logic and the existing application.  We’d be thrilled to learn that you also have these core skills, interests and experience:

  • Strong analytical, solution design and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work capably under stress and to juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines
  • Deep understanding of response marketing and CRM best practices
  • Experience with Agile development methodology and tools
  • General understanding of full lifecycle development of a Dynamics 365 project
  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • 5+ years of implementation experience in medium to large scale (100+ users) environments
  • 3+ years of implementation experience in Azure technologies
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of IT experience

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience with Microsoft Stack
  • At least 2 project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize) of the (Dynamics – is a MUST.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency
  • Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
  • Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
  • Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
  • Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
  • Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
  • Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
  • Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
  • Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Be independent and self-driven.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Must be open to travel.
