We currently have a career opportunity for a Content Director to join our Digital Marketing team.

 

 

Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Content Director will have primary accountability for the success of the Content Practice, as part of the Digital Marketing Solutions (DMS) business unit.

  • You will manage a team of content rockstars and provide high-level oversight of enterprise-level client engagements that have a content strategy, content marketing and/or content development program work stream to ensure the content practice maintains a strong reputation and quality work product.
  • You may also serve as a primary content strategist on key accounts and be responsible for client satisfaction of enterprise level account relationships. Your insights will help drive key business decisions for our clients in collaboration with other Perficient cohorts.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly blend strong team building and client management skills with creative content, social and digital marketing prowess, rooted in a sound understanding of client target audiences, competitive market dynamics, brand guidelines, and overall goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Acting as trusted adviser and escalation point on enterprise-level client engagements. Your focus will be on ensuring that content programs and deliverables meet an exceptional quality standard, and are designed to ensure that clients meet their stated business goals and objectives.

• Providing direction and oversight to multi-disciplinary team members supporting content program execution, and guiding their efforts through the entire project lifecycle. Given the seniority of this role, it is expected that you can effectively manage account teams that include personnel of multiple levels of experience, and mentor those who need active development by providing clear guidance, coaching and feedback.

• Supporting roll-out of new capabilities that drive future practice growth.

• Supporting the development of innovative and data-driven content marketing solutions, both by staying apprised of market advancements as well as providing thoughtful inputs to content marketing solution positioning, and participation in thought leadership activities as your bandwidth allows.

• Overseeing of team resourcing and client assignments, setting and communicating team goals and priorities, establishing and enforcing best practices, and accountability for forecast.

• Assessing team strengths/gaps and supporting career development to level up team expertise.

• Managing content practice headcount, identifying hiring needs and decision making for new content team members.

 

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism or a related field. Previous agency experience a must.

• 10-15 years of experience managing corporate and/or client marketing programs, specific to content marketing programs in any variety of digital channels— such as digital marketing and product content, informational content, integrated campaigns, email marketing, social media, etc.

• Proven ability to develop and manage digital content programs through the entire project lifecycle, including strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and maintenance. Example digital content programs include the creation of content strategies, conducting content audits, overseeing development of optimized web content, and executing integrated content marketing programs that may include email marketing, social marketing, influencer marketing, etc.

• Proven success managing and delivering content programs with a data-driven approach, and general experience applying those capabilities within different web environments, such as content management systems, marketing automation systems, and mobile apps.

• Experience working with clients and cross-functional teams to develop content program plans, creative briefs and professional communications.

• Proven experience managing, building and growing teams. Ability to work and foster a sense of teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

• The professionalism, work ethic, confidence and attention to detail necessary to earn the respect of client executives, peers and project team members.

• Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
