Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Senior DataPower Developer. This is a remote role that will be working Eastern and Central Time Zones.
The Senior DataPower Developer you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and leads on development activities. This team's focus is delivering high-quality web applications as well as defining enterprise development practices. This is a highly collaborative team that will work across teams and provide mentoring to others in the organization. Craftsmanship, pride in ownership and passion for excellence are core expectations.
The IBM Datapower Developer codes software applications based on business requirements. The IBM Datapower Developer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The IBM Datapower Developer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
1-2 years of Datapower administration experience
3-5 years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
