We currently have a career opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our team located in our St. Louis Office.

 

The Payroll Specialist will work as part of our HR Shared Services - People Team to deliver payroll services to nearly 3500 employees globally.

A successful candidate will be an experienced high volume payroll processor for US, Canada, UK and Serbia payrolls.  In addition, as a member of the HR Shared Services - People team, the candicate will focus on delivering accurate, on-time payroll every time.  

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Prepares and processes semi-monthly, biweekly and monthly payroll for over 2800 US employees, 55 Canada, 40 hourly and 10/UK/France employees.
  • Reviews data for completeness and initiates corrections as needed.
  • Reviews and approves self-service actions for direct deposit and W4 updates.
  • Compiles and processed payroll data such as garnishments, tax levies, earnings and benefit deductions.
  • Pro-rates earnings for new hires, leaves, terminations, and review the information for completeness and accuracy in compliance with company policies and laws by Country.
  • Assists with special compensation processes (personal credit card charges, employee referrals, unpaid time, gift cards, restricted stock, leaves, long-term travel, new hires, and terminations).
  • Assists with processing bonuses and commissions.
  • Responsible for reviewing, validating and correcting all reports identified on the Payroll Processing Checklist.
  • Applies Payroll SOX controls to processes to ensure compliance
  • Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Executes various Oracle EBS reports and load imports to ADP Workforce Now.
  • Processes accurate and timely year-end reporting and amendments when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)
  • Prepares and sends reports to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  • Participates in projects as needed and assigned by management.
  • Assist colleagues via the payroll email inbox with questions regarding payroll while preoviding excpetional customer service and adhering to service level agreements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year multi-state payroll processing (state and local income tax withholding and final pay laws)
  • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws (W2 amendment processing)
  • Minimum High School Diploma required and two (2) years payroll related experience
  • Solid understanding of wage withholding orders and garnishments
  • Solid computer aptitude, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to organize high volume workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to maintain confidentially is mandatory
  • Flexibility to work extended hours if necessary
  • Global payroll experience preferred
