Currently, Perficient has a career opportunity for a Director in our Houston Region.


Our Directors serve as the senior delivery leads for consulting engagements:

  • Serve as a key member of the solution delivery team by facilitating requirements/design sessions and producing executive-ready deliverables
  • Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality, to promote client satisfaction across the project team
  • Manage the technical, business, and personnel aspects of consulting engagements
  • Serve as the day-to-day Project Manager for our larger, more strategic clients/engagements
  • Support multiple engagements on a part-time basis as the overall Engagement Manager and work with the assigned Project Managers and Lead Business Consultants to ensure successful delivery
  • Monitor engagement team performance and provide feedback to leadership as necessary.

 Resource management:


  • Support recruiting efforts for the Management Consulting team via final interviews with promising candidates
  • Partner with Recruiting and General Managers to ensure that sold client engagements are staffed with appropriately skilled resources
  • Monitor and ensure colleague satisfaction via Management Consulting’s “Braveheart” Program
  • Monitor and manage Consultant utilization
  • Ensure colleague reviews are completed on a timely basis.


 Business management:

  • Prospect and build accounts to support growth efforts at new and active accounts
  • Be a key participant in the process to ensure quality proposals and to validate the business commitments and financial terms of proposals
  • Lead risk-assessment efforts during the proposal process and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies 
  • Maintain an accurate backlog for sold client engagements
  • Manage key metrics to ensure they are in alignment with defined targets such as revenue, cost of delivery, utilization, ABR, and DSO.




  • Oil and Gas industry experience is a must.
  • At least 10 years of experience, with a strong understanding of the professional services industry
  • Experience delivering full-lifecycle solution development engagements for enterprise initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred)
  • Strong client relationship management skills, and an extensive network of executive contacts at target clients
  • Comfort in facilitating interactions and discussions with C-level executives
  • An ability to articulate complex issues, thought leadership, and the business value of solutions
  • Experience managing the proposal process and pursuit teams in a consultative, solution-based sales model
  • Experience with accurate project estimation and planning
  • Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and change control
  • Proven management, leadership, and mentoring skills
  • Willingness to travel.
