Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Analyst - External Financial Reporting in our St. Louis office with degree in Accounting or related field and three plus years of experience, motivated to take on challenges in a growing and dynamic environment. Candidate should have a solid understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting and SOX requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, various cross-functional teams and external partners.

 

 

This role will be responsible for SEC filings; SOX design, documentation, testing and compliance; managing internal and external audits; and accounting research, evaluation and policy documentation. This role will also assist with business combinations accounting as well as certain treasury functions, such as hedging, debt compliance, real estate and stock transactions.

 

 

Responsibilities



  • Schedule, coordinate, draft and manage SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 11-K and Proxy;
  • Assist with compliance and maintenance of XBRL requirements;
  • Assist with preparation of earnings releases, audit committee presentations, board presentations and investor presentations;
  • Prepare and maintain detailed work papers to support disclosures in consolidated financial statements;
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits;
  • Lead the SOX compliance effort, including internal control design, documentation, and testing;
  • Perform technical accounting research on complex or significant transactions and new accounting pronouncements and document conclusions;
  • Assist with acquisition accounting, including reviewing acquisition valuations and documenting management’s assessment;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow statements;
  • Manage, track and forecast weighted average share counts and treasury stock;
  • Prepare monthly foreign currency hedge recommendations and look-back analysis;
  • Assist with managing real estate, including financial analysis of lease options and implementation of the new lease accounting standard;
  • Prepare quarterly debt compliance certificates;
  • Assist with implementation of new revenue recognition standard; and
  • Perform other special projects, as needed.

 

Qualifications



    • Three + years of accounting and relevant Financial/ Audit experience.
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX
    • Ability to manage and prioritize several tasks independently
    • Ability to plan ahead and meet strict deadlines
    • Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment with focus on continued process and product improvement
    • Critical level of attention to detail
    • Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) and/or Hyperion-Essbase is a plus
    • Experience with SEC reporting tools and Visio is a plus
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
