The Agency Development Director (ADD) partners with Perficient sellers to provide subject matter expertise, strategic leadership, and guidance on the direction and qualification of prospects. Agency Development Directors work with a broad set of Perficient Digital Subject Matter Experts to assess a prospect’s needs, taking a consultative approach in crafting a solution framework with the goal of qualifying their needs and determining, with the seller, if a full pursuit is required.

This will require an individual to be versed in current digital trends, adept at identifying and driving strategic models or approaches, and resourceful in assembling the appropriate SME’s to assist in the qualification process.

 

The ideal candidate comes from a strategic or solutions background, is a strong collaborator and articulate presenter, and has a proven track record of successfully building relationships with influencers and decision makers in short order.

 

 

Responsibilities

As a strategic leader, the ADD will:

  •  Provide strategic digital visioning and consultation to Perficient Digital “blue chip” clients and prospects, including Fortune 1000 companies and major non-profits.
  •  Articulate and present Perficient Digital capabilities and case studies to clients and prospects, demonstrating a recognition of their specific pain points in a consultative, business-focused manner.
  •  Be an informed thought leader in industry and technology trends relevant to digital solutions in the areas of digital marketing, content management, brand experience, customer experience, and emerging technologies.
  •  Have an opinion on solutions and approaches that are in the best interest of both the prospect and the agency while keeping an open mind on possibilities.

 

 
As a sales partner, the ADD will:

  •  Collaborate with sellers to manage and follow through on client opportunities, assessing the readiness of the prospect and carrying them through the qualification process.
  •  Develop a broad knowledge of key subject matter experts within the various Perficient Digital offices and disciplines and develop an engagement process to tap into their expertise in short timeframes.
  •  Provide mentorship to the Perficient and Perficient Digital sales teams on how to present offerings and capabilities.
  •  Influence marketing messages to present Perficient Digital capabilities and offerings.
  •  Drive the transitioning of a qualified prospect to an appropriate pursuit team that can close a deal alongside the seller.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years representing a strategic solutions, sales, or client advocacy role representing strategic viewpoints on projects, accounts, and potential relationships
  • 7+ years of strategic delivery or management experience in a digital agency/consulting environment with a passion for expanding a prospect’s view of their potential solution opportunities
  •  Strong capabilities and knowledge of solution development approaches, pitches and presentations, contracting, account modeling, tracking and reporting, and consensus building
  •  A collaborative mindset with strong leadership skills and a willingness to create new processes in a growing creative and technical agency environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of digital marketing, customer experience, and digital technology applications across web, mobile, and installed (retail or commercial kiosk) screens and devices
  • Compelling communication and presentation skills
  • Able to embrace a frequent and ad-hoc travel schedule (travel to 50%)

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or interesting field, or equivalent experience
