Perficient Digital currently has a career opportunity for an Sr. Media Planner.


As Senior Media Planner, you function as a key member of the Media Team and are responsible for the day-to-day deliverables and maintenance of media campaigns. You will assist in the development of media program strategies and analysis for clients. The Senior Media Planner, Display collaborates with the Display Media team and other digital channels (SEM, SEO, Mobile, & Social) in a fast-paced, results oriented environment. Must be an expert at analyzing data, thinking creatively and coming up with innovative new media strategies to ensure display campaigns reach the right target audience at the right time in the most effective and efficient way. Reports directly to Director of Paid Media.




  • Develop and maintain media plans for clients by ensuring deliverables are met and align with clients goals and objectives
  • Ensure campaigns proper launch of the campaign working closely with CRO, SEM, SEO, account management and creative teams
  • Participate in client status calls providing any media updates and overall status of running campaigns
  • Oversee campaign’s results analysis and help translate information into observations/lessons learned
  • Recommend and perform media optimizations through propriety tracking software to improve current campaigns and ensure goals are being met
  • Maintain appropriate and responsive working relationships sales representatives and partners to identify potential opportunities, and also negotiate best ad rates and added value
  • Compile and coordinate research data and media/marketing information
  • Partner with Supervisors to guide junior team members through their development plan
  • Monitor client billing, and resolve any related issues




  • 3 - 4 years of media planning, buying and reporting experience
  • Strong client facing skills
  • Ability to provide Quality Control over work
  • Strong knowledge of media planning tools such Adrelevance, @plan, Nielsen Net Ratings, MRI, Strategy and Comscore
  • Experience managing campaigns with GDN
  • Ability to develop a media plan, and coordinate launch of a media campaign with minimum direction
  • Develop and maintain media plans for clients by ensuring deliverables are met and align with clients goals and objectives
  • Programmatic buying experience
  • Analytics/media reporting experience (DM, performance based)
  • Must have strong business writing, presentation, and client-service skills
  • Must have organizational and quantitative/analytical skills including experience with media forecasting and analysis
  • Possess and demonstrate strong understanding of media fundamentals, including media math, target audience development, and communication goals (reach/frequency)
  • Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and media research/reporting resources
  • Experience or familiarity using industry media planning tools: MRI/Simmons Research, Reach/Frequency Projection Software, Nielsen Npower, Comscore, AdIntel
  • Prior experience in a client contact and leadership role
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas both internally and to clients
  • Ability to work within a team, handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Team player, dynamics, and dependability are a MUST
