Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Quality Assurance Senior Test Manager in our Minneapolis office located in Minneapolis, MN.

 

Job Overview:

 

As a QA Senior Test Manager you will responsible for leading QA/Test efforts and test resources for a large financial services transition and engagement. You will be working closely and collaboratively with IT and business teams to ensure that the client migration from aprevious vendor Perficient is delivered with quality by adhering to standards, processes and procedures and applying industry best practices where appropriate.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationship with client Director of QA.
  • Plan and execute the transition of QA responsibilities from existing firm to Perficient.
  • In collaboration with the QA and Business, define the Test strategy, report on migration testing activities such as testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance-baselines etc.
  • Identify and utilize opportunities for automation usage and provide recommendations for the same.
  • Lead and mentor QA Leads and Analysts regarding testing best practices and processes
  • Coach, motivate and supervise QA team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

Test Management

  • Collaborate directly with Capability Managers and Project Managers across the enterprise to create and execute the migration testing plan
  • Work with appropriate Perficient partners on and off shore to plan for and acquire testing resources
  • Responsible for QA resource planning.
  • Actively contribute to estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, risk, and resources
  • Ensure test process, methodologies and tools are applied appropriately and that test phase entry/exit criteria are agreed to by stakeholders and applied by the test team
  • Define Program Test Strategy and approve test plans and test results
  • Prioritize testing tasks based on goals and risks of projects and ensure testing milestones, activities and tasks are completed as scheduled
  • Collaborate with Business Teams to define UAT Test plans and strategy
  • Ensure all sign offs on deliverables (overall test strategy, test plan, test cases, etc.) and that testing meets governance requirements

Test Delivery

  • Direct and monitor QA activities across all migration teams
  • Set, and effectively communicate, Program QA / Test expectations to QA team members and program stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaise with project managers for all QA / Test tasks and deliverables on an ongoing basis – 1st Point of escalation for all QA / Test issues and/or concerns
  • Develop and deliver progress / status reports and metrics - Track QA milestones and deliverables
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise a contingency plan 

 

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in managing large QA Programs with focus on Test Management including Automation and Performance Testing
  • Has in-depth knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and methodologies
  • Strong Knowledge of current industry wide Quality & Test processes and practices, Tools and techniques
  • Experience with implementation of Shift Left testing as part of Agile/Scrum development teams
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Passionate about pushing the envelope on current technologies and motivating others to adopt new development and testing methodologies
  • Experience with some of the following tools would be helpful: HP ALM, JIRA, Selenium, UFT, HPE, Performance Center, Appium, DynaTrace, Gomez, SOAP, SOAP Sonar

Education

  • MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
  • CSTE/CSQA certifications preferred
  • Financial Services experience preferred
