Perficient currently has a career opportunity for Visual DesignerThis position can be located in Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL or St. Louis, MO. 50% travel to client location is expected.

 

As a Visual Designer, you are the primary support for creative leadership from concept to completion, partnering with interaction design, research and technology teams to develop best-in-class brand experiences for our highest profile initiatives. You are responsible for visual design concept and support for major initiatives across online/ecommerce /mobile channels, social media, video/motion production and other various support for any high-profile creative, brand marketing or technology objective. 

Our Visual Designers work on complex interfaces and have the capacity to distill/prioritize information & goals across various business functions into a tight, elegant experience for the customer. They bring attention to detail and adhere to the highest of standards. 

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Visualize, communicate, and implement designs and assets on a range of Perficient’s clients and projects.
  • Design and produce site launches, emails, and special projects/presentations
  • Conceptualize online presentations for campaigns that are unique to the web that Art Directors must conceptualize and design.
  • Understand the creative and marketing objectives for each project assigned
  • May work with Creative Director and the interaction design team to extend and optimize Web functionality, site architecture, user interface and navigation
  • Manage and mentor designers and temporary help or freelancers as assigned
  • Ensure deadlines for assigned projects are met
  • Maintain absolute accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative and production process

 

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

  • 3-7 years demonstrable experience in digital and web design
  • Marketing, advertising, design or brand building experience
  • Expert knowledge and mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, (especially Photoshop and Illustrator) including photo-manipulation and compositing skills
  • Strong understanding of UX and UI design best practices relating to the use of front-end Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design
  • Design for responsive layouts and touch interactivity
  • Sophisticated sense of visual design/style
  • Passion for developing intuitive and engaging user experiences
  • Impeccable design fundamentals (type, image, color)
  • Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiences
  • Collaborative, inclusive and flexible team member
  • Highly organized with extreme attention to detail
  • Positive, constructive approach
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required
  • BA/BS in Graphic Design, Information Design, or other visual arts
  • A current portfolio with up-to-date projects that demonstrates the application of current design trends and concepts required for all applying to position

 

Preferred Skills:

  • BFA preferredExpereince with E-Commerce websites is ideal
  • Experience with website menus and navigational systems a plus
