Key Responsibilities:


The Sr. Content Strategist will be a key member of the strategy team working to define and craft content for the digital experiences of clients across a broad range of industries.

  • Develops brand and messaging strategy, voice and tone guidelines, competitive content analysis, and content framework to guide content strategy.
  • Conducts existing content inventory, audits, and gap analysis and synthesizes findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Conducts content modeling for effective content development and maintenance, including identifying new content, how content should be formatted, what content is pulled from database, and how that content is structured/fits with other content within the experience.
  • Provides input on content management system design and use, including providing training on content authoring.
  • Creates and maintains content development plan, including developing documentation tracking every page on the site, and managing the production of that content, sometimes including a team of contractors.
  • Creates content: primarily page copy but could be video/audio scripts and includes managing SEO/meta data development.
  • Develops content governance, workflow, editorial calendars, and management plans to ensure sustainable content development.
  • Assists in conducting content development training and workshops.
  • Persuasively communicates content recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Establishes and maintains thought leadership with clients. 

Preferred Skills:

  • Very strong writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong familiarity with user experience design.
  • Familiarity with basic html/xml coding.




Individual must have a very strong writing background and experience with content planning and development efforts across complex CMS-driven websites, internal portals, campaign microsites, and mobile applications. A successful candidate will be someone who can work collaboratively with our experience design leads, strategists, interaction designers, visual designers, engineers, analytic and social media experts, and project managers.


  • 5-7 years of experience as a Content Strategist, Information Architect, User Experience Specialist, or any other role which involves planning, creating and managing interactive content for high-traffic, dynamic digital properties. Interactive agency or consultancy experience is a plus.
  • Outstanding writing skills.
  • Ability to design narrative strategies across multi-channel digital environment so users experience a compelling, consistent story no matter where they access content.
  • Ability to clearly define and prioritize content goals at the outset of a project and ensure those goals are executed by members of the editorial team.
  • Ability to manage all editorial development cycles of a project, from initial concepts to copy reviews to UAT, ensuring content team delivers solutions on time and on budget.
  • Experience planning client discovery workshops and quickly digging into the research details to create strong user-centered strategic insights.
  • Ability to articulate and present ideas based on sound brand, marketing and user experience principles.
  • Exceptional analytic and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of content delivery and management systems.
  • Awareness of emerging content strategy trends, tools, and technology.
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Interaction Design, Journalism, English, or related/relevant work-related experience.
