Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in our St. Louis office.


Job Overview:

The Accounting Assistant performs a range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions in support of the Corporate Accounting team.  The employee will prepare tax filings, reconcile corporate credit card activity and assist with preparation of financial information, supporting schedules and other documentation.



  • Prepare tax filings for non-income taxes such as property, sales and earnings taxes, and business licenses.
  • Communicate with various taxing authorities, including coordination of audit requests.
  • Maintain and update tax tables within tax reporting software.
  • Monitor and track business licenses and other corporate activity with third-party registration agent.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statement activity and follow up on personal charges, if any.
  • Process and reconcile cash activity in cash management system.
  • Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records.
  • Assist in month-end reporting procedures.
  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks.
  • Cross-train with other team members.
  • Support other projects assigned by management.




  • 2+ years of experience required.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Critical level of attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and accurately accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Accounting or Business Degree
  • Experience in a Corporate environment
  • Experience with Oracle EBS
