    Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Technical Consultant located in New York, NY.


    Job Overview:

    As a back-end .NET developer you will be responsible for building C# applications, predominantly around back end services. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential. This role is a full-time position and will report directly to the Technology Lead. You will be working in a dynamic, highly collaborative, fast paced environment. 



    • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
    • Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
    • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
    • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
    • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
    • Leverage and utilize enterprise and reusable solutions and services to gain efficiencies and consistencies
    • Partner with Business and technology stakeholders to understand business and technology roadmap and drive process improvement and automation



    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
    • Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
    • Proficient with the .NET framework and the .NET Core framework
    • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
    • Skill for writing reusable C# libraries
    • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
    • Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
    • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDb and Redis
    • Experience with popular web application frameworks, such as ASP.NET MVC
    • Experience with web services, both modern RESTful JSON services as well as classic SOAP services
    • Knack for writing clean, readable, testable C# code
    • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
    • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
    • Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
    • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
    • Familiarity with continuous integration
    • Experience implementing highly scalable and available applications in the cloud
    • Experience with web based Content Management Systems
    • Experience with various web authentication schemes such as OAuth2 and OpenId-Connect
