    About Our Business Coordinator Position:


    Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Business Coordinator in our St. Louis, MO office.

    The Business Coordinator is a key member of the Finance team supporting the operating unit’s back office processes ensuring compliance with internal policy and external reporting requirements.  This position is fully responsible for the project setup process and revenue recognition of all project work.  This may include responding to client inquiries, verifying employee’s chargeable time, reviewing customer agreements to ensure projects are setup in accordance with the established accounting standards and billing policy.  This role has hands-on daily interaction with key management across the business unit including General Managers, Directors, Project Managers, and Sales Executives.  The role reports directly to the Business Operations Manager.    




    • Effectively communicates with Project Managers regarding contract documents, change orders, and approvals.
    • Ensures projects are set up accurately and timely so that revenue recognition is appropriate and internal controls are met.
    • Assists Billing Specialists with invoice issue resolution as needed.
    • Ensures resource schedules are accurate and detailed to allow for resource management planning.
    • Acts as the subject matter expert for all project set up and revenue recognition.
    • Provides project level operational and financial reporting and analysis to leadership as needed.
    • Ensures all time and expenses are entered and approved per company policy.
    • Acts as the subject matter expert for Oracle EBS and ensures resources in their Business Unit (s) have received necessary information to use the system.



    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably in project accounting in a service industry.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel pivot tables, tables, charts and formulas.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong initiative and desire to excel.
    • Strong service orientation.
    • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
    • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
    • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
    • Knowledge of the project structure in client/consultant business environment. Knowledge of Oracle EBS a plus.

    Working Conditions: 


    • Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
    • Substantial time is spent working on a computer.  Light physical effort is required, including the handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds and some standing, walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, grasping, lifting, etc.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 
    • Environment can be demanding and fast paced.
    • Work schedule is generally 40 hours a week, but hours could exceed 40 based on goals, expectations, and demands of area.
