    Job Overview:

    As a Managing Director, Technology you will be a part of Perficient Digital, providing strategic leadership to our clients and internal teams. You will be responsible for driving and managing our software engineering, and architecture teams, providing technical leadership to strategic opportunities, ensuring development and technical operations for our clients.  The Managing Director, Technology accomplishes this by ensure we strategically are solving resourcing challenges, ensures quality client deliverables through your technical resources, and supports sales by articulating our current and new technical offers to sales and clients. The ideal candidate is strategic, thoughtful and has a proven track record of building software engineering teams and partnering with clients to drive success.




    • Ability to articulate and understand, at a strategic level, the key areas of digital technology to internal and external stakeholders including marketing, sales, support, operations, delivery/distribution in business-to-business and business-to-consumer sectors.
    • Ability to articulate and understand at a strategic level all major components of the digital consulting life cycle, with a specific focus on technology while understanding its interaction with user experience, design, and analytics
    • Relationship building and thought leadership within existing accounts, Perficient leadership, and sales, as well as at conferences and during company events.
    • Create and drive the technical team through processes that ensures a successful outcome, including devops, development best practices, digital technical trends
    • Manage resources and resource utilization across the entire technical team, including the ability to meet key organizational KPIs and business metrics related to the technical team
    • Strategic relationship with our recruiting team to hire and develop talent as needed to meet the organizational demands for technical resources
    • Build and manage the technical team of over 50 software engineers and architects
    • Mentor and grow second and third level leaders, as well as establish a strategic approach to ensure all technical team members are meeting the expectations of clients and the organization
    • Technical solution direction and presentation to key prospects and accounts.
    • Understand and comprehension of key digital platforms and technologies including web development, native and hybrid mobile, content management platforms, backend and enterprise systems integration



    • 7+ years of delivery or management experience in a software engineering leadership within digital agency/consulting environment with a passion for consulting
    • 7+ years representing and delivering a strategic technical viewpoint on product, projects, or accounts
    • Must possess strong collaboration, multitasking, and team leadership skills
    • Demonstrable knowledge of trends in web and mobile technology, content platforms, and digital deliver
    • Prefer experience in any combination of: Sitecore, Adobe AEM, Native iOS and Android development, Xamarin, hybrid mobile platforms

    Preferred Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
