    Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Talend Technical Architect that can work remote but endure 60%-80% travel across the US.

     

    As a Senior Technical Architect, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.

     

    The Senior Technical Architect will provide technology direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions.  You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.

     

    This role is considered part of the Business Unit Leadership team and may mentor Junior Architects and /or development team members. 

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
    • Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
    • Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
    • Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
    • Own development of a few features in every Sprint.
    • Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.
    • Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
    • Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
    • Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.

     

    Qualifications

    Primary Skills
    • 10+ Years Architecture Experience
    • 5+ Years ETL Experience
    • 2+ Years Talend Architect Experience
    • Enterprise Big Data Landscape

    • Hands on experience in JAVA and Big data is also preferred
    • Minimum 2-4 years ETL experience with Talend and Big Data,
    • Experience with Informatica or Datastage a plus.
    • Hands on ETL & integration experience
    • Expert with SQL, Complex SQL Tuning, Stored Procedures, SQL Server Data Warehousing best practices etc
    • Expert level understanding of ETL framework
    • Maintaintune, and support the ETL platform on a day-to-day basis to insure high availability
    • 1+ year of development experience with Batch Jobs and Reports in Talend
    • Experience in design, develop, validate and deploy the Talend ETL processes
    • Collaborate with other technology teams and architects to define and develop solutions
    • Should be able to work directly with the Client business team and gather requirements, transform them into the desired documents and implement them as ETL processes.
    • Work with the team to establish and reinforce disciplined software development, processes, standards, and error recovery procedures are deployed; ensuring a high degree of data quality.
    • Prefer previous Data Management experience

     

    Preferred Skills and Education:

    • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Certification in Talend a plus
