Supporting our national DevOps practice, this role is specifically for a Sonarqube testing automation engineer.
The testing automation engineer role involves the development, testing, and acceptance of results working with the team to ensure successful testing outcomes as required for the solution.
As a field consultant consistent communication is critical, as well as the ability to act in a self-starter role for projects both on-site and in some cases remote working environments. As a member or our growing DevOps team, you will be working in a distributed virtual team environment with other practitioners such as solution architects, developers, and operations teams across the United States.
As a DevOps Lead Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development and delivery lifecycle which includes assessing CI/CD adoption maturity, system configuration best practices, solution implementation, and in some cases documentation for key areas such as continuous integration, continuous testing, application security code scanning, and continuous deployment of various applications and technologies. Our clients have high expectations, and as a member working in a virtual team environment that can be highly ambiguous, you will collaborate with client teams such as developers, operations, testing teams, security teams, and stakeholders to interpret current DevOps needs and provide process and technology recommendations and skills to deliver various DevOps platform solutions / technologies. As a member working in a team environment you will work with team-members of varying years of experience and skills on interpretation/translation of DevOps solutions.
Provide Sonarqube testing automation engineering support.
Support the writing of test cases and automation, including onsite customer installations, mentoring and training of other resources as needed.
Work with client groups and individuals on how to use testing automation supporting DevOps best practices using feedback and testing to continually improve the systems used.
Work within the Client teams in the elicitation of requirements and development of specific use cases.
Self-starter able to keep up to date on changes and developments in enterprise computing infrastructure and cloud computing provider industries.
Regularly collaborate with internal teams to provide technical assistance and content where applicable.
Excellent written skills required to documents services provided to customers, including new code, techniques and processes, in such a way as to make such services more efficient in the future.
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design preferred.
Passionate engineers with with 2-5 years of testing automation engineering experience.
Strong DevOps engineer with hands on experience using testing automation tools such as Sonarqube is required.
Client facing or consulting experience highly preferred.
Skilled problem solvers with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions.
Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments.
Phenomenal communicators who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers.
Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.
Ability to travel up to 50-100% is required depending on client expectations and project needs.
