    About Our  Microsoft Cloud Solutions practice


    Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Lead Technical Consultant in our Microsoft Cloud Solutions practice located Houston or Dallas, TX.


    Job Overview:


    As a Lead Technical Consultant in our Microsoft Cloud Solutions Practice, you will participate in all aspects of Microsoft infrastructure and cloud-based solutions including project estimation, technical design, technical implementation, documentation, testing, and deployment of Microsoft solutions for our clients. You will work in a team-based environment with Solution Architects and other consultants to deploy complex solutions and help our customers utilize Microsoft cloud-based technologies.



    • Participate in customer team meetings to gather and discuss business and technical requirements for Microsoft 365 deployments and migration projects.
    • Participate in internal and customer-facing team meetings to discuss ongoing project status, risks, and deliverables.
    • Work independently or lead a team to design and deploy Microsoft 365 infrastructure solutions for enterprise customers.
    • Provide thought leadership and execution of new innovations for customers and internal Perficient initiatives.
    • Provide world class solutions and customer support to all Perficient customers.
    • Convey Microsoft 365 capabilities and technical concepts clearly and confidently to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Understand Microsoft 365 workloads and stay current with functionality changes and enhancements throughout Microsoft’s cloud solution workloads.
    • Implement integration between on-premises environments and Microsoft cloud-based environments consisting of multiple messaging and directory systems.
    • Independently manage individual work schedule with minimal oversight and proactively communicate status, progress, and risks to management and project leadership.



    • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or comparable major.
    • Minimum 5 years consulting experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of deployment and migration experience with the following technologies:  
      • Active Directory
      • Microsoft Exchange
      • Directory Synchronization and Azure Active Directory Connect
      • End user identity and authentication design and management
      • Active Directory Federation Services
      • Exchange Hybrid design, deployment, and support
      • Office 365 portal support
      • PowerShell scripting
      • Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite
    • Minimum 3 years consulting experience with the following types of projects:
      • Microsoft Active Directory deployments, migrations, and administration.
      • Microsoft Exchange deployments, migrations, and administration.
      • Migrating to or managing Office 365 environments.
    • Presales and estimation experience with Microsoft cloud solutions is a plus.
    • Exceptional verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
    • Proven ability to communicate with technical and non-technical teammates and customers via multiple mediums including email, instant messaging, documentation, verbal conversations, and video conferences.
    • Proven excellence in creating, editing, and presenting technical documents.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and proven ability to create innovative solutions.
