    Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a General Manager of our Salesforce Business Unit.

     

    The General Manager position of the Perficient Salesforce Busniess Unit is a key leadership position.  The General Manager has overall responsibility for the planning and execution of the business unit, with support from various teams including practice leadership, recruiting, HR, sales, executive management and more.

     

    Responsibilities

      The General Manager position of the Perficient Salesforce National Business Unit is a key leadership position.  The General Manager has overall responsibility for the planning and execution of the business unit, with support from various teams including practice leadership, recruiting, HR, sales, executive management and more.

      • Overall Business Unit Leadership
        • Define, establish, implement, and execute the vision and business plan for organic growth and success of this Perficient business unit
        • Build, mentor and manage the business unit’s leadership team (GM direct reports)
        • Communicate appropriately across Perficient, to the BU team, leadership team and executive management
        • Ensure education and awareness across Perficient of business unit’s services and capabilities
      • Overall Practice leadership
        • Work with the practice directors/leads to ensure success and growth of each practice
        • Support creation of practice goals and plans
        • Ensure execution of practice plans and achievement of goals
        • Support overall practice needs
        • Lead new practice development
      • Sales Leadership
        • Work with the National Sales Executive to help lead the business unit sales team
        • Participate as appropriate in the pre-sales process
        • Approve proposals and contracts prior to their submission to clients and prospects; review and approval of estimations, solution planning, pricing, margins, etc.
      • Partnerships and Alliances
        • Lead and manage alliance management team for practices / partnerships
        • Define and execute alliance management (ALM) processes in support of ALM team
        • Establish partnerships and build relationships with Salesforce at appropriate levels
      • Client Relationships and Delivery Leadership
        • Develop and maintain healthy client relationships; participate as client sponsor where and when appropriate
        • Ensure participation in delivery assurance programs and excellence in delivery
        • Lead the staffing process, working with operations / resource management team
      • People / Team Management
        • Work with our Talent Acquisition and Talent Management team to ensure success in the following areas:
          • Support recruiting process  with recruiting plan development, interviews, decisions and offers
          • Support on-boarding and training of new colleagues
          • Support the career development and retention of our colleagues
          • Instill positive culture and work environment
          • Design and lead overall BU communications
        • Lead the business unit promotion planning, and compensation planning and management         
      • Business Financials and Operations
        • Work with VP to complete annual budgeting and planning
        • Develop and execute quarterly plans to meet goals and performance metrics
        • Maintain accurate forecast
        • Manage the overall P&L, develop pro-forma statements and manage costs appropriately
        • Lead in overall decision making for business

    Qualifications

    • Experience in the solution consulting services space / professional services.
    • Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
    • Business Leadership experience required.
    • Experience in one or more the following technology solutions:
      • Specific to Salesforce
    • Demonstrated experience in P&L / Budgeting / Forecasting.
    • Sales Leadership / Technical Leadership.
    • Ability to build and motivate strong teams and grow a business.
    • Ability to work as part of the broader Perficient leadership team to develop and grow the overall Perficient business.
    • Ability to balance strategic and tactical needs across both sales and operations.
    • Strong client facing skills.
    • Great interpersonal and relationship skills.
    • Strong communicator.
    • Experience managing sales people or the sales process.

    Preferred

    • Strong knowledge of and experience in the Salesforce consulting services space
    • Proven leadership and mentorship abilities
    • Able to build and motivate strong teams and grow a business
    • Ability to work as part of the broader Perficient leadership team to develop and grow the overall Perficient business
    • Ability to balance strategic and tactical needs across both sales and operations
    • Demonstrated responsibility for managing a P&L and a large team
    • Strong client facing skills
    • Great interpersonal and relationship skills
    • Strong communicator
    • Experience managing sales people or the sales process
    • Knowledge of CX market, Portals, and related enterprise software technologies
