    Perficient Health Sciences is looking for an experienced Scrum Master. We prefer candidates local to Boston, MA.

    The Scrum Master/ Project Manager role is intended to manage and adapt continuously to project goals. This highly collaborative role will need to work closely with all departments, including account, creative and technology teams, in order to deliver quality solutions to our customers. 

     

     

    Responsibilities

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Proficiently organize, document, and facilitate daily SCRUM meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning.
    • Worked closely with product owner on backlog grooming to keep product backlog relevant and prioritized, ensuring acceptance criteria were agreed upon and stories were ready for sizing.
    • Managed two or more scrum teams and ideally performed the role of scrum of scrum master role
    • Managed complex software development, architecture, and integration projects in a fast paced, constantly changing client environment.
    • Responsible for effectively initiating, planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, coordinating, controlling, managing and delivering all activities for projects and related release initiatives.
    • Strong critical thinking and ability to set a productivity pace to continually meet deadlines.
    • Properly manage the backlog and aid team in determining suitable commitments for product backlog items and sprints.
    • Help balance the prioritization of technical debt against new feature innovation and software delivery
    • Work with cross-functional Scrum and Kanban teams to provide value to Product Owners and project goals while ensuring on-time delivery.
    • Responsible for delivery for managing end-to-end product development activities encompassing conceptualization, design, development, verification.
    • Developing integrated project plans inclusive of WBS (work break down structure), change management plan, communication plan, risk management plan, and resource management.
    • Coordinating, leading and motivating a diverse cross-functional team of internal and external resources in coordination with product owners and management.
    • Manage multiple workstreams to develop project plans, schedules and align delivery of work
    • Create a positive and easy communication channel (team, product owner, stakeholders)
    • Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions and remove impediments
    • Address team dynamics, resolve conflict and resource constraints
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity and innovation
    • Use Jira as a tool to assist scrum team efficiency
    • Craft influential C-level communications and deliver with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm
    • Support customers in driving and completing programs and project, including establishing project framework and processes while resolving issues and removing barriers to progress
    • Ability to take and understand his commitment to deliver the product on time.
    • Know about the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
    • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.
    • Familiar with common development practices, Service oriented environments, and Agile practices
    • Possess an Agile mindset open to adaptation based on experience and feedback
    • Situational awareness and leadership
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills
    • Strong facilitation and problem solving skills
    • Strong critical thinking skills required
    • Ability to remain objective and constructive in all situations essential
    • Highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and self-directed
    • Ability to develop and foster teamwork. Ability to gauge how the team is doing and to drive the necessary actions to improve.
    • Ability to facilitate constructive debate and resolve disagreements and conflicts constructively

    • Desire to help motivate individuals and build team dynamics
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or 5-10 years experience directly in software engineering project delivery
    • 5-7 years experience of delivering successful development sprints using Agile (Scrum ) SDLC methodologies.
    • 5-7 years of technical project management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams of various size in delivery of services to customer, including leading remote or offshore resources
    • Well established track record of producing high quality results while establishing/maintaining customer relationships at all levels
    • Ability to formulate and express ideas clearly and effectively in verbal and written presentations
    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
    • Agile Scrum Certified
    • PMP certified
