    Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an IT Application Architect and Technical Leader to provide architectural oversight and account leadership for design and development of applications, located in our Jacksonville, FL, Atlanta, GA, Fairfax, VA, or Lafayette, LA, offices.

     

    This role is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the applications architecture across the system and providing technical guidance to the development teams. Define application architectures and recommends courses of action to ensure technology is consistent, usable, secure and adds value to the business. Serves the company as an adviser on best practices and stays current on business initiatives and objectives. Researches and evaluates new technology and development tools to remain abreast of current and emerging technology. IT Application Architects lead efforts, oversee work results, providing formal training and serve as a subject matter expert for development teams. Responsible for design and implementation of integration strategy, architecture and platforms. Candidates should have industry experience in a mix of both backend services and front end development with the ability to lead and manage day to day development.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manage an assigned account and the customer relationships, identify business needs, manage SOWs and the delivery of work.
    • Accountable for adhering to enterprise architecture standards, ensuring integration technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization and contributing to architecture strategy-setting. Continually works to enhance breadth and depth of knowledge and experience.
    • Define project-level application architectures in line with business area guidelines and strategies.
    • Define detailed technical designs usable by project team programmers. Review code developed by Developers to ensure code is consistent with architecture design. Troubleshoots, recommends and executes action plans for issue resolution.
    • Selects and designs tools that allow reuse of design components and patterns between projects. Develops actual working solutions or prototypes based on their own designs and resolves any issues that arise.
    • Provide day-to-day technical direction to project team while also prioritizing and resolving technical issues affecting and deliverables, escalating technical issues when required. Facilitates project handoffs including preparing documentation, educating and supporting to ensure smooth transitions.
    • Managing technical resources and provide cutting edge solutions to business problems.
    • Own development of a few features in every Sprint.

     

    Qualifications

    • Six or more years of experience in enterprise application development.
    • Through understanding of SDLC and organizational process.
    • Expertise in application architecture and design.
    • Experience working with Enterprise Architects.
    • Expertise in Python or Java on Linux platform.
    • A solid understanding of QA and testing processes.
    • Experience with multiple components of a technology stack including:
    • Developing micro services
    • OpenShift cloud
    • CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab)
    • Mongo DB, Postgres SQL
    • NodeJS, ExpressJS
    • UI Technologies such as React 16, Redux, Material-UI, HTML5, CSS3, Styled-Components
    • Experience in optimizing end-to-end, integrated business processes, applications, and technology.
    • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent IT work experience.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in creating gradually complex architectural designs.
    • Proficiency in consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building, presentation and facilitation.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
    • Experience and understanding of a variety of operating systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to innovate and think beyond established standards and processes.
    • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience applying current and emerging technology integration solutions and trends including security and regulatory industry requirements.
    • Demonstrated effective decision-making skills related to implementing integration architecture and design.
    • Knowledge of integration files formats and canonical structures, transmission protocols and transformation technologies.
    • Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies.
    • In-depth knowledge of development practices of integration technologies.
    • In-depth experience in leading and managing projects and engagements. Familiar with structured Project Management methodologies.
    • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately.

    Preferred:

    • Domain knowledge in the healthcare industry, payer side preferred.
    • Two or more years of work experience designing systems/applications architecture on progressively complex IT Integration projects.
    • Experience using Agile methodology.
    • Experience with Spring Boot and Redhat OpenShift cloud.
