    Perficient Digital currently has a career opportunity for an Senior Organic Search Strategist in our Miwaukee, WI office.

     

    Job Overview:

    As a Senior Organic Search Strategist, your primary responsibility will be creating and executing SEO strategies that deliver results for our top clients in the B2C & B2C markets. You will be an expert in all things technical SEO, able to quickly identify problems and solutions by performing audits of client websites. In addition, you will demonstrate strong expertise in driving qualified traffic to client websites through the optimization of keyword targets, user intent, on-page HTML, content and more. A critical part of this role is the ability to stay on the bleeding edge of optimization tactics and strategies, setting clients up for success as quickly as possible once they are engaged.

     

    Additionally, you will guide the efforts of other Organic Search team members on collaborative projects and engagements. Attention to detail and effective communication are critical aspects of leading engagements that create strong deliverables and drive converting traffic. Contributing thought leadership to Perficient’s marketing efforts and the greater Organic Search community is also expected.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Effectively leading communication and strategy for 2-3 large clients ($6k+ SEM revenue monthly), implementing initiatives along with Organic Search Specialists
    • Leading communication and strategy for an additional 2-3 smaller (under $6k/mo) retainer clients with the support of Organic Search Specialists
    • Being 70-75% billable overall – spending time effectively on clients, keeping within contract allocations
    • Scoping SEO campaign activities based on client business objectives and potential results
    • Understanding how to “follow the money” for clients to propose strategies likely to deliver results and show a positive ROI
    • Applying a strong business acumen to ensure that proposed tasks focus on impactful areas of the client’s business
    • Handling difficult client issues with calm and ease
    • Mentoring Organic Search Specialists on their accounts, offering strategic guidance and being involved the development of campaign roadmaps and quarterly plans.
    • Delegating tactical direction to SEO Specialists and Strategists
    • Providing insightful and actionable analysis on monthly and ad hoc client reports
    • Independently conducting site-wide SEO audits – including technical SEO, keyword/opportunity analysis, content, link profile, and analytics
    • Continuously developing digital marketing abilities via on the job experience, independent research, individual and team training
    • Planning and executing link-building initiatives
    • Contributing to process-improvement and innovation efforts; able to document processes and transmit them to the team
    • Assisting in training junior-level team members, teaching them the standard processes of the SEO department
    • Being a supportive member of a team that is always willing to help each other solve problems
    • Contributing to thought leadership initiatives internally and externally, such as blog posts, lunch & learn sessions, speaking engagements, etc
    • All responsibilities found in Organic Search Specialist and Organic Search Strategist roles

    Top performers in this position will also:

    • Go beyond individual campaigns to develop 6 to 12 month strategic plans for clients
    • Assist in the creation and delivery of individual development plans for junior-level team members
    • Possess master-level knowledge of SEO requirements of at least one core DCS platform
    • Know how to identify and correct the most complicated advanced technical SEO issues
    • Create roll-out plans for new processes that span outside of the SEO department
    • Being available as a resource to mentor Organic Search Specialists with their accounts and provide meaningful feedback
    • Contribute to sales efforts with needs or opportunity analyses
    • Offer actionable insights into client digital marketing activities beyond SEO

    Qualifications

    • 3-4+ years experience in SEO & digital marketing
    • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks for 6-8+ SEO retainer clients of varying size
    • Can accurately track & manage billable and non-billable time
    • Offer timely response to internal and external communication
    • Degree in marketing, advertising or a related field
    • Client services experience (agency/consulting)
    • Ability to work independently
