    Perficient Digital currently has a career opportunity for a Paid Search Strategist in our Perficient office.

    The Paid Search Strategist plays an important role in leading (or assisting in leading) strategic direction and performance for select client accounts within their portfolio, under the direction of the Senior Strategist. Strategists take greater leadership and strategic initiative on “B” accounts, owning the responsibility of client relations and strategic direction. Strategists may also own similar responsibilities on minor portions of designated “A” accounts as directed by the team leadership.



    Account Management:

    • Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for “B” accounts, while assisting with select areas of responsibility within “A” accounts (as defined by the Senior Strategist and Director).
    • Implement strategies within client paid search accounts, including campaign building, account restructuring, expansion, optimization, testing and experimentation, budget management, ad copy writing, etc.
    • Maintain an ideal standard or quality and accuracy in the work
    • Track account performance to ensure ongoing progress and that client goals are being met while adhering to industry best-practices.
    • Share recommendations with clients, based on data and analysis

    Client Management:

    • Interact with clients in a professional, courteous and service-oriented manner that reflects true partnership. Strategists will lead all major communication initiatives for “B” accounts. 
    • Manage client expectations and engagement through planning, roadmaps, 3-month plans, etc. for “B” accounts
    • Provide ongoing analytical reports for clients (email, monthly reports, client calls, etc) and assist in preparing agendas and deliverables for client visits/calls/presentations when necessary
    • Present reporting to clients and/or internal agency stakeholders.
    • Research and understand client business models, products/services, verticals, and competition.

    Team Development:

    • Take a major role in training new hires and interns
    • Proactively partake in internal meetings, helping to solve problems, and complete client deliverables.
    • Proactively contribute to a positive team atmosphere and company culture, and generally be a role model for junior members of the team.

    Business Development:

    • Identify strategic opportunities to expand both additional offerings (non paid search) to existing clients and introduce paid search opportunities to existing clients using other services
    • Participate in brand outreach and thought-leadership initiatives (blog and newsletter articles, case studies, speaking engagements, conferences, etc.)
    • Assist with prospecting and onboarding initiatives with Senior Strategists and Director (audits, RFPs, discovery calls, deliverables, sales collateral, etc.)


    • 2+ years experience managing SEM accounts at Perficient or elsewhere (agency preferred)
    • Clean HR record, void of any major disciplinary actions, write-ups or other negative incidents with coworkers or bosses.
    • Expert understanding and demonstrated experience in paid search (PPC), including keyword research, ad copy development, bid management platforms and optimizations.
    • Highly analytical and comfortable with working with large data sets.
    • Expertise in data analysis and data interpretation, and proficient in Excel
    • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, enterprise-level paid search campaigns.
    • Experience with technology platforms and tools such as Marin, DoubleClick search, Kenshoo, prisma etc.
    • A natural collaborator with the ability to work well with internal teams, external stakeholders and clients.
    • Passionate about the digital industry, media trends, search behavior.
    • Curious about new innovations and testing new ideas and out of the box thinking.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
