    Perficient Digital currently has a career opportunity for a Director of Mobile Applications.

     

    As a Director, you will be part of Perficient Digital’s Mobile and Modern Web Solutions Group leading a development practice for mobile applications, web applications or full stack systems while also remaining hands-on in the delivery of projects for key clients and engagements. A Director is a senior leadership position with the skills and experience to lead our largest, most strategic engagements while also serving as a participant in the leadership of our business unit

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a technology practice for a designated focus area with respect to best practices & processes, recommended technologies, training plans and research spikes.
    • Take co-ownership of assigned client accounts from both a business and a delivery standpoint, managing to budgets and the terms of statements of work.
    • Work hands-on in a billable capacity for clients in a variety of roles within a lean team philosophy.
    • Win work with new clients and grow business with existing clients.
    • Participate in sales support, particularly discovery meetings, solution ideation, road-mapping and engagement assessment.
    • Travel to clients as part of the leadership team for pitches and key meetings.
    • Create and/or lead others in the creation of estimates, resource plans and project plans for both internal-only and cross-BU projects with other Perficient divisions.
    • Mentor and grow a collection of passionate software engineers and developers who are both curious and rigorous.
    • Foster a high-performing and fulfilling work-environment for not only members of your practice but the business unit as a whole.
    • Become a thought leader at Perficient Digital by contributing to quarterly thought leadership that drives awareness of our group and offerings.
    • Be an entrepreneur and consensus builder that helps everyone accomplish more than what they assumed possible.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent.
    • 15-20 years of demonstrable experience in software development.
    • Subject matter expert in one or more of the following development areas – mobile applications, modern web applications, or full-stack cloud applications.
    • Able to lead an agile technology team in day-to-day activities from a scrum master and/or an architect POV depending on the nature of the project.
    • Ready to rise above projects to both define as well as drive a practice in your designated focus area.
    • Proven ability to collaborate with clients to not only deliver upon their explicit asks but also grow their business based on their unspoken needs.
    • Deep experience creating persuasive written proposals and presentations to business opportunities from both new and existing clients.
    • Ability to create lean yet effective project estimates, resource plans and approaches for overall project plans based on years of experience working on client engagements of many shapes and sizes.
    • Passion for deep diving into the unknown to find answers to hard-to-solve problems whether those are technological, organizational, client-relationship, or business-focused in nature.
    • Ability to travel 15%.
