    Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Salesforce Software Engineer proficient in object oriented-programming in our Minneapolis, MN and  Fargo office. 

    The Software Engineer role is intended to manage and adapt continuously to project goals. This highly collaborative role will need to work closely with all departments, including account, creative and technology teams, in order to deliver quality solutions to our customers. As a Software Engineer, you will be developing solutions and writing code to produce business critical applications for our global and enterprise clients on the Sitecore and Salesfor
    ce platforms. You will work closely with technical analysts and architects to help identify and plan long-term roadmaps based on these platforms. You will be an expert in multiple pieces of these very diverse, flexible and powerful platforms. You will be able to effectively integrate the platforms with external systems though common integrations patterns using APIs, ETL tools and service bus technologies. Additionally, you will be expected to hold certifications or accreditations as applicable for the Salesforce and Sitecore features necessary to support our clients. 





    Primarily Accountable For: 

    • Development of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, and other Salesforce.com clouds using Apex, Lightning Components and Visualforce. 
    • Development and implementation of the Sitecore platform. 
    • Educate and consult clients on best practices around the Salesforce and Sitecore platforms. 
    • Work with the business analysts and technical resources to develop the custom solutions that meet the strategic needs of our clients. 


    Software Engineer Responsibilities

    • Development on the Salesforce platform using the Apex language, Lightning components and Visualforce. 
    • Develop API integrations by calling other external systems from Apex and C# or by building custom Apex and C# REST APIs. 
    • Integrate various platforms using ETL tools like Salesforce Integration Cloud, leveraging Outbound Messages, or utilizing Platform Events. 
    • Design, develop, implement and support new and existing Sitecore implementations. 
    • Understand the importance of leveraging fully the out-of-the-box features of both Sitecore and Salesforce so that custom solutions built on top of them can take advantage of updates to those platforms

    • You have the background and experience to be successful, such as a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent training/experience) and at least two years of hands-on professional experience developing object-oriented technical solutions in a professional capacity. 
    • You demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following development languages; APEX, Java, C# and JavaScript. 
    • You understand the development life cycle including functional and technical specification, documentation, QA processes, source control (Git and SVN and TFS), maintenance, continuous integration, unit testing and deployment. 
    • You are a self-starter with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills. 
    • You are methodical and organized, comfortably engaging in multiple projects and balancing priorities. 
    • You have a passion for innovation, keeping up with trends and continuous education related to software engineering. 
    • You are talented at explaining complex topics clearly and concisely to colleagues and clients. 
    • You are able to learn new systems and skills quickly. These platforms are evolving quickly and you will be among the first to learn and share new technologies. 
    • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
    • You have a positive attitude, a sense of humor and a work hard/play hard mindset. 


    Additional Desired Experience

    • Experience in a professional consulting organization working with enterprise-level companies. 
    • Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Siebel or SAP. 
    • Experience with marketing automation tools such as Sitecore, Salesforce Marketing. Cloud, Eloqua or Marketo.
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Google or Amazon Web Services platforms. 
    • Experience with client-side technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery.
    • Experience with iOS and Android platforms/development.
    • Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or Single Sign-On (SSO) architectures.
